Masculism Now!

This is a position list meant to express why I feel that men are an underclass in contemporary American society. It is under construction, and open to debate. If you disagree with any of these choose one and meet me on debate.com.

  6. Men must work or risk destitution, homelessness, and social ostracism.

  7. Men must suffer in order to acquire any sex.

  8. Men are expected to maintain the home with no say in its appearance.

  9. Men are constantly required to tolerate inconsistency and irrationality, especially from a mate.

  10. Men who use their body to manipulate women are considered abusive and monstrous.

  11. Men have an extremely narrow range of options for potential dress and hair style.

  12. Men are constantly told by society that they are ugly and not successful enough.

  13. Men are constantly told by society that without a woman they are utterly worthless and pathetic.

  14. Men are constantly told that a father is replaceable.

  15. Men as a gender are given no assistance what so ever in job placement.

  16. Traditional man's work is dangerous and difficult.

  17. Men lose jobs to women because of their gender alone.

  19. Men have almost no organized assistance as a gender.

While simultaneously...

  1. Women live longer.

  2. Women get a disproportional advantage in court when fighting for parental rights.

  3. Women are encouraged to express themselves emotionally both publicly and privately.

  4. Women compete for better mates, but even when they settle they have the power.

  5. Women get to define what it is to be a man and a father.

  6. Women have the socially acceptable choice of not working.

  7. Women typically profit from the acquisition of at least moderately enjoyable sex.

  8. Women are typically allowed total control of the home's decor.

  9. Women are socially allowed to issue conflicting and irrational edicts.

  10. Women who use their body to manipulate men are considered strong and clever.

  11. Women are allowed a much greater degree of freedom with regard to dress and hairstyle.

  12. Women are constantly told by society how beautiful they are.

  13. Women are constantly told that they are the sum total purpose of men's existence.

  14. Women are constantly told that the most important thing a human can be is a mother.

  15. Women are given preferential selection in almost every job market.

  16. Traditional woman's work is simple and safe by comparison.

  17. Women who work profit socially because of the women who choose not to work.

  18. Women who express their genetic desire for sexual exploration and polygamy are sexy.

  19. Women have hundreds of social groups to protect their rights and interests.

You use the very same stereotypes that the "feminazis" use.
Btw, women only live like 2-3
years longer tops.

"Women are given preferential selection in almost every job market."

Are you being serious? I a world where 90% of the executives in any company are men?

Innomen said...

Examples.

Are you saying 2-3 years is trivial?

And yes I'm dead serious. I assume you mean country. throwing the world statistics into this is not fair when I'm talking about american culture.

Obviously women are oppressed generally, globally, but damn sure not where I live, in the united states, or even most industrialized nations.

Executive positions are extremely hard to get and are very demanding on time and effort. Not that that justifies their pay level.

But women have no need to compete like that. Men strive for power and money as a means to an end. And that end for most men when selecting a career is sex.

A remotely attractive woman can make as much money as an executive thought marriage. And virtually all of them try.

By age 55, 95% of all U.S. women have married. Are you going to tell me that perceived earning potential is not a factor in the majority of those cases?

I believe that a pretty girl of equal qualification will get the job most of the time, even over equally attractive men because a man's value is less focused on his sex appeal than a woman's is.

Besides I'm not trying to convince anyone. I'm merely planting my flag so that I can "I warned you" later.

Debate.com is ready if you'd like to debate this in full.

Innomen said...

P.S. Even if I granted your money argument the rest still stands. And frankly I consider the money argument the least important.

Do you honestly think you have equal protection under the law compared to say a 16 year old attractive white girl?

"Women are typically allowed total control of the home's decor." lol Tell it to my Star Wars posters in my bedroom dahlin. In Our home equality is the rule. Also SAHD is a growing thing, It's just most men make fun of the ones who don't do a "Job" us women are jealous, there's something amazingly hot about a guy who wants to take care of his kids. And the polygamy: typically it's looked down on in western society for BOTH genders, unless of course it's two chicks and a guy watching... but this is just my opinion, not that of the mainstream..And I never was one of the followers.

You are a sad little man. Here are two pieces of advice for you.
1 Suck it up Princess! I'm sick of hearing from the straight white males how life is sooooo hard now that all their advantages have been taken away and everybody gets a level playing field.
2 If these emasculating high maintenance girls aren't your cup of tea stop picking mates with you dick. Try talking to the 4 instead of heading straight for the 9. That extra 20 lbs might contain a little more personality and brains and compassion. The plain Jane little "A" cup might be the girl of your dreams if you could be bothered to find out.
PS The name is Lisa. I posted as Anonymous because some glitch seemed to be preventing me from doing anything else.

Innomen said...

Hello Lisa.

First of all thank you for posting. While it is clear you have radically misunderstood my position, I am pleased that you took the time to read my work. I believe we are on the same page, you just took something in a way other than it was intended or I haven't been clear enough in my explanation, or both. For my part in this failure I apologize.

Your response is more emotional and demeaning than anything else, so I find it hard to respond rationally, but I will try. Do you really think the playing field is level? If so could you respond to each of my points as listed?

I truly see a matriarchy when I look outside, a matriarchy run by the type of girl it appears we both dislike and the people that profit from their sale. You seem to assume my position is the result of rejection and sexual frustration, and while I will grant that as an early teen that is indeed what made me ask the questions which led to these answers, my current position is based on pure observation of what I thought at the time were unrelated fields, and a great deal of reading. Examine the rest of my work, and give me a chance to respond to your objections. And you'll find that you've made a few substantial false assumptions.

You seem to claim that the competition for mates as it stands is an acceptable system when you tell me that if I should simply settle for a less physically attractive mate, but then you seem to imply that you dislike it and that its failure is actually males' fault for 'thinking with their dick'. This kind of cognitive dissonance is a real problem for Americans. Your position is in conflict with itself.

Which is it? Is the competitive monogamous mate system just? Or is the system unjust at which point blame may be assigned?

Secondly, even if I had a cadre of trophy dolls clamoring to sexually service me or if I were chemically and physically castrated and sexless. I would still not be content to let these things continue when their behavior may cost me my life. We're not talking about me. I can trace virtually every large scale social problem on the face of the globe to problems caused by our competitive mating systems. (pick one and try me before you scoff) It is not at all shocking because we all start out as children. the mating system is the foundation of life and evolution.

You should read the rest of my work. This is but the end of a long chain of reasoning.

I'm going to assume you're not a “9”. having said that, you should know that your words to me just now were meaner and more “emasculating” in intent than anything any pretty girl has ever said to me online or off.

I've found that the larger less attractive woman in my life are the more shallow and the more brutal if they are still in favor of monogamy, because they resent their displacement by the smaller more attractive girls and secretly blame themselves for being ugly, which I might add is logically consistent with blaming men for being greedy.

The only women who I find attractive mentally are the ones who refuse to be sold like so much chattel and absent themselves from the game entirely, choosing to remain 'single' and simply living as their ethics demand, and who choose not to worry about social distinctions and labeling related with their relationships.

I never had reason to think about the weight of my girlfriends until you brought it up, for one I've never chosen a mate, they chose me. I'm male, I don't get to pick. And the ones that chose me I stayed with because of a combination of factors, the least of which is their appearance because their appearance is merely a means to an end. What is important is how I am made to feel.

If after all this you still hold your original position and wish to continue calling me names, then you're actually far more shallow than you claim I am. Assuming that fatter = smarter is just as prejudiced as 'choosing with my dick' or thinking sexier = better, if not more so.

Again I think we agree. The system is thrashed, but unlike you I've not simply taken to blaming the other team, I blame the architects of the game, and propose we abandon it. I do not see females as my enemy. I hate the war.

You've allowed them to niche you. And you're projecting that anger on to an ally. You look at me a see a Nazi when you should be seeing a swing kid.

Lisa again!
So many wrong assumptions its hard to know where to begin...
Oh well lets start with your assumptions I blame men for thinking with their dicks. Both sexes do the same thing but as you appear, by the facial hair, to be on the "dick" team, that's where the comment went. I'm not saying you need to lower your standards I'm saying change you priorities. If you are finding women who treat you in an unfavorable manor instead of going:
Great tits, Maybe I can get her on board with my way of thinking!
Try: Hey we're totally on the same page mentally, maybe her bucky teeth aren’t a deal breaker.
Honesty is so brutally lacking on both sides its pathetic. Put yourself out there as who you really are and what you really want with the opposite sex (or the same one whatever floats your boat) and you'll waste a lot less time.
Also I'm not monogamy’s cheerleader. Far from it I've been in a non-monogamist relationship for almost 10 years. So what's my beef? RESPONSIBILITY! No body wants to take it for they're own lives. "I'm male, I don't get to pick." Bull! you get to choose who you are involved with same as any female. If you are willing to be manipulated by some woman just because its the only way into the honey pot that's still your choice. I'll take masturbation over manipulation any day.
As for my appearance I'm actually quite happy with myself. I had my 9 days and although they may be a bit behind me now I still turn enough heads to get the job done.

I guess my main issue is with the whole "its not fair" tone of this entry. Well boo friggin hoo, life's not fair to anyone (that being the level playing field I referred to).
You're not completely without any point. #2 for instance is indeed a shame (not being sarcastic, there are many wonderful fathers out there). So what are you doing about it? Have you sent money or volunteered time to any organization trying to incite change? If you have great. If not, its obviously not that important to you you're just whining about it.
Why even bring up that women live longer? Trust me the pink mafia isn't out there knocking guys off to keep the status quo. Its just genetics. Deal.
3,6,8,9,10,11,18 all about perceptions. If you don't care what people think of you perceptions stop being an issue. And as for 5 what kind of father you are is between you and your kid.
Traditional men's and women’s work is again something that’s got a lot to do with genetics. You need more upper body strength to carry someone out of a burning building then to take a memo. Also last time I checked most men can physically do "women’s" work if they want to. The same can't be said for many women who are just plain not built for the physical demands.
Whoo I think that's about all the rant I have in me today. I must say regardless of how I feel about what you have to say you are quite eloquent in saying it. More so then myself (there’s a reason I don’t Blog) The name calling was out of line but I stand by "Suck it up" even as I apologize for "Princess".

1. Your life span usually has something to do with your lifestyle. Take care of your body and you'll live long enough. As Lisa pointed out, the rest is genetics.

2.Unfair, I agree. Women are considered better at parenting. Something to do with gender roles, I guess.

3.The modern man is encouraged to express his emotions.

4.This one got me laughing. Women compete for mates as well. And looks are not the only criteria. But calling it a competition is a bit silly. I like to thing we search for partners. The part about capitulating needs clarification.

5.Clarify.

6.So do women. Unless you call being a "stay at home mom" an option. Would drive me nuts, personally.

7.Women are pickier when it comes to sex partners. A matter of taste I think.

I'll comment the other 11 claims if and when I get a reply to this post..

P.S. English is my second language, so I apologise for any misspelled words and/or grammatical errors.

Innomen said...

I'm not saying you need to lower your standards I'm saying change you priorities.

You don't even know what my priorities are, and until you do I have no need to address this, one way or the other. And you are telling me to lower my standards. I want someone physically fit. Not overweight with bad teeth. I'm physically fit, I avoid artificial sweeteners, I like broccoli more than cake, I ride my bike, I want a person around who does the same.

You assume I want someone healthy because they happen to be attractive. This is part of the problem. Sex is not the end all be all trait and you still don't get that. I should not have to limit my potential mating pool just because the tv says I don't deserve such and such, who are they to make that claim and who are you?

You telling me to hunt less attractive women as a general rule is like telling me to date within my own race, and its disgusting and classist.

I have more to offer than how fast I can run a mile.

Honesty is so brutally lacking on both sides its pathetic.

Read my work and speak for yourself.

"I'm male, I don't get to pick." Bull! you get to choose who you are involved with same as any female.

Smoke more crack, and when you come down, grab a sociology book. Wishful thinking pure and simple. You don't want to think of yourself as an oppressor and I can sympathize, believe me. Growing up a white male in the south has taught me a little something about false assumptions, especially since I happen to enjoy very short hair.

But wishing for a thing does not make it so, nor does merely claiming it. Reason and logical rigor are required.

If you are willing to be manipulated by some woman just because its the only way into the honey pot that's still your choice.

Again, read the rest of my work, not getting laid is the absolute, rock bottom, least, of the negative consequences of the problem of sexual inequality.

I'll take masturbation over manipulation any day.

As would and do I, but I must say, I would too if I were a woman. Society tells you that masturbation is healthy and indeed hot. You could sell video of you doing it no matter what you look like so long as you have a vag. As a man, I'm made to feel inferior for not having a super model to parade and occasionally mount. As a man I'm told that I'm worthless without a trophy doll and that my lack of trophy doll is a function of personal failure, just as you've assumed I might add.

A cute girl is success in America, and that would be the case even if I didn't have a sex drive. Conversely, a single woman is adored because of her availability and/or her independence.

You choose not to see. Your cry of responsibility is an ironic one.

I guess my main issue is with the whole "its not fair" tone of this entry. Well boo friggin hoo, life's not fair to anyone (that being the level playing field I referred to).

Yes, life isn't fair, precisely because of people like you who are content to milk the uneven playing field for all its worth and then blame their victims, or indeed insult them, for their lack of advantage. You're of the same species that tried to claim blacks where slaves as a result of racial inferiority.

Face it, you are the bad guy, because life is only unfair because people like you allow it to be unfair. You choose to profit from it, you make no effort to fix it and indeed attack those who do because you're quite happy with the current state of affairs due to the advantages you receive, both emotional and tangible.

And even if I'm wrong about you personally, which I highly doubt, what I've claimed here also applies to hundreds of thousands of others.

So what are you doing about it? Have you sent money or volunteered time to any organization trying to incite change? If you have great. If not, its obviously not that important to you you're just whining about it.

Oh, I see. So the poor are poor by choice and the only way to fix the world is by paying a non-profit that can take up to 95% of the donation as an “administration fee”? Spend a couple years examining economics, and business law, and once again crack open that sociology book. If candy striping and dumping money actually solved problems we'd not have cancer still. You radically misunderstand the mechanism of social adaptation. Short of instigating open revolt and thus total system redesign I am pursuing the most fruitful course available to me given my personal abilities and limitations.

As I've said on countless occasions in my other work which you're apparently too busy feeling self righteous about to actually read, writing in my opinion is doing something, just ask King or Gandhi or Buddha. You may think your mind is worth less than your dollar but that's consumer (I invented this word) slavethink bullshit. The pen is mightier than the sword, and the dollar.

I assure you my work has more impact than all my money ever could have. Now granted, its not dramatic and its not fast, and its not a tax write off, but I go to sleep every night knowing I've done all I can, and that the world is a better place with me, than without. Can you say the same with conviction? I'll bet not.

Why even bring up that women live longer? Trust me the pink mafia isn't out there knocking guys off to keep the status quo. Its just genetics. Deal.

You wish. Stress kills. Go read up on heart disease differences among men and women. Even if it were genetic at this point, which I'll of course partially grant, at some point those genetic traits were sexually selected for. Go read up on sexual selection. You have no idea the stress of simply being a man in America, nor do you wish to know, or care.

And as for 5 what kind of father you are is between you and your kid.

Uhh, not if the court says you don't get to even be around the kid because the pill head mom, knows how to play the mommy card.

You're simply ignorant of he reality of the situation. But in helping correct that I'll provide data for the record for the future.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men%27s_rights Start here

Traditional men's and women’s work is again something that’s got a lot to do with genetics. You need more upper body strength to carry someone out of a burning building then to take a memo.

Please, that's the most sexist bullshit ever. Upper body strength is a function of effort. The end.

http://www.hantelparty.de/xt/female-bodybuilder.gif

Women don't have to expend said effort because they'll get a mate regardless. 95% of American women get married at least once. And that's just the ones that get married. The teen pregnancy rate in America is the highest of any industrialized nation. Women have to fight off mates pretty much from the very beginning.

Being assured a chance to breed and thus having the fear of death partially and unconditionally mitigated, is something you as a woman take for granted. You simply do not understand. I do not blame you for this unless you refuse to listen objectively.

Also last time I checked most men can physically do "women’s" work if they want to.

But not socially. Once again pick up that sociology book. Women suffer almost no social ill effects of doing a man's job when compared to what men suffer doing a woman's job. Example: What would be your first thoughts if you heard of a man trying to get a job at a day care? If you didn't say pedophile or gay, you're a liar or at least in the extreme minority.

I must say regardless of how I feel about what you have to say you are quite eloquent in saying it. More so then myself (there’s a reason I don’t Blog) The name calling was out of line but I stand by "Suck it up" even as I apologize for "Princess".

Thank you, and while I think your heart is in the right place, your memory needs a bit of filling in. The only difference between ignorance and stupidity is will, now we'll see if you're willing to go do the research. For my part you've made no new claims or introduced no new data, you've merely stated your opinion, so I have nothing to research, but if that changes, rest assured I will do the work.

Pick one of my claims you think is most easily refuted. And challenge me to a debate on debate.com. You might learn something or teach something, either way we both win.

Thank you for your interest, but you offer nothing new. Besides, English is worthless enough as a language of data conveyance without having to worry about your understanding of my terms and definitions.

How about you pick one you really like and we'll debate that one to conclusion. That's all you'll get.

Ok, I pick number 7. I can't imagine what you mean by it. What does this "suffering" entail?

Lisa (for the last time)
Its obviousy you don't actually pay attention to what other people say you just twist it enought to keep up your daily whine. Thought for a minute there you might be worth dabating with. I was wrong. Try not to care so much what's acceptable and you might not stress yourself into the early grave your so pissed about. Grow up. I'm done with you.

Its obviousy you don't actually pay attention to what other people say you just twist it enought to keep up your daily whine.

And yet I read and reply to what you send.

Thought for a minute there you might be worth dabating with. I was wrong.

And yet you still sent an argument.

Try not to care so much what's acceptable and you might not stress yourself into the early grave your so pissed about.

You seem to misunderstand the nature of the term unacceptable. If it were merely a matter of personal choice or conviction then I wouldn't have an issue, but because my way of life is unacceptable (and therefor impossible, illegal, not an option) I have no choice.

Grow up.

Coming from the young lady with a taste for name calling, personal insults, and an apparent loathing of proofreading thats simply adorable.

I'm done with you.

I hope so, you've presented no new information, and my replies to you were merely reiterations and defenses. In short you've probably wasted both our time. I am tempted to lift the whole exchange off the page, but your witless prattling does serve as a lovely example of the type of argument I get most often.

You are a genius. A friend sent this link to me on Facebook, and with little exception you have voiced this growing concern that I have heard among many of the kids my age at college and also when I went through Army Basic.

It's not just a male/female thing anymore. It is also a White/Black thing too. Racial quotas for work, college entrance, and any number of things that add on points and gives out all kinds of free grants and loans simply if you are a female or a minority.

Whatever happened to MLK Jr.'s hope that someday your social standing in life would not be made by the color of your skin (or what you have/don't have between your legs) but would be based on merit alone? We have gone to the far extreme other side of what this country used to do. Now, instead of persecuting minorities in sex, race and religion (which was wrong), the majority has found it necessary to persecute itself for being in the majority.

And the truly ironic thing is that if you were a woman and you were fighting for "equal rights" on these blogs instead of being a man fighting for equal rights, you would be hailed as "brave and unconventional, a true heroine to women everywhere", but because you are a man that makes you an ignorant sexist fool.

Keep up the good fight, and someday we may actually have a society that is truly blind to skin color or sex.

Innomen said...

Nice to get a little support now and again. Thank you very much. And indeed it is a racial thing as well, but I'm hesitant to comment on that simply because I have very little experience with it from either end. I live in a very homogeneous community. Though that does not mean I've not seen it.

The effort to appear politically correct especially in southern states is often hilariously over stated and thus ingenuine.

I think your choice of words is very fitting. Society needs to be BLIND to race and gender. It shouldn't ever be a factor, it shouldn't be a demographic. If they want race to not be a factor they shouldn't ask about it on so many forms.

To me having to check a box for race and gender is as absurd as having to check a box for religion or political party.

Anonymous said...

And men have to give birth too right? An do they have to worry every single time they have sex whether their belly will become big and have the responsibility and trauma of deciding whether or not to take care of it or abort it?

Or they can just leave the women they had sex with. It's easier and it's done all the time.

Oh, and who cares if men in our society can't act emotional! You can act as emotional as you want- nobody will stop you, I promise.

I'd like to add that maybe the problem lies in people's widespread belief that the ONLY purpose we have in life is to breed. we are the absolute most intelligent species on the planet, we could be using our intelligence to figure out the mysteries of life, the universe, the reason we all grow old and die, curing AIDS, cancer, things like this, that could potentially improve the quality of life for both genders, and maybe even all species, but instead, we use our intelligence selfishly and unquestioningly towards attracting a desirable mate.
